Coach Marisa L. Kwaning, MPP

Having spent over 5 years working with students from various academic and cultural backgrounds, to equip them with the tools they need to strengthen their writing for academic and professional success, I am incredibly passionate about the art of writing. From students clamoring for a place at a top university, to adult students pursuing advanced degrees, a well written essay has been and remains a critical component to achieving scholastic and professional goals. My professional background in the field of education, public policy and disaster management has also given me a unique vantage point on the importance of being able to express important ideas in written language. I have had the unique opportunity to draft policies, programs and proposals that have impacted organizations, communities and regions. Through Final Draft, it is my desire to infuse individuals, organizations and communities with a reverence for the written word. I hold an Associate’s degree in International Studies from American University, a Bachelor’s in English Writing and Rhetoric from Pepperdine University, and a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University.
